By practicing yoga on an unstable surface, yogis train a lot of the muscles they don’t normally use in a regular yoga class. In addition to strengthening the core, cardio and standing balancing. Different muscles are constantly called upon as your balance shifts along with your poses. Also familiarizing yourself with the same boards used in the water during the summer months.



Take your practice out on the floating studio. Experience a blissful practice that combines balance, strength and pranayama.  Enhance your practice, let nature stimuli you, unplug and have fun on a paddleboard. Enjoy sunset from your board!

All outdoor classes are held on beautiful Sylvan Lake, MI. Classes: Resume Spring 2020

Gentle Wave – Move at a gentle guided pace as you balance the mind and body through meditation, as well as breathing techniques through practice.

Group Paddle Tour – This is an all – levels class. Learn cues of alignment on a paddleboard. Learn proper paddle stroke technique, stance and safety. Enjoy the sunset!



Allow for at least 1.5 hours for each class. Check in 15 mins before hand. Each class will start with introductions, basic water safety and cover equipment. Apparel – Bathing suit under your yoga clothes, or SUP yoga specific apparel.

Eye wear, hat and sunscreen. Trucker hats are great because it floats. Croakies for your glasses, so you don’t lose them or a pair you don’t mind losing in the water if you fall in. PFD’s are required on the board, if you have your own favorite one please bring it. Go Pros are a plus. For pictures, Use hashtag #lunamoonsup 

Cell phones on the board are not necessary but a waterproof case is recommended if you do want to keep it with you. 

Yes, for a discounted rate. Plus if you are participating in yoga, we can still hook your board into the floating studio pod.

Inflatables are provided for all classes. They are the same ones used in the lake, pool, and studio.

Yes! If you are looking to build your skills, the indoor studio workshops are perfect trainers. Plus they are the same boards used in the water.

Please reschedule your reservation up to 24 hrs of your class time. Canceling after 24 hrs or a no-show will result in a $10 service fee. There is a waitlist, If the class is already full and you are on the waitlist, you will receive live feedback from the site as to whether you were bumped into class automatically. If you are unable to attend your waitlist, please cancel your waitlist reservation.
